Who we are
The SDG Solution Space is managed by the University of Geneva in collaboration with a range of partners. A Core Team manages the daily operations, including many events in the main maker space and hosting of partners in the SDG Ecosystem. The Core Team includes scientific, technical and administrative staff as well as students from our SDG Master Program and other University of Geneva programs, who actively organize and support events.
The SDG Fab Lab is currently managed by Addictlab, a creative think tank established in 1997 that runs a number of youth-focussed and SDG-themed activities, such as Addictlab Academy and SDGZine. Addictlab.
Many students have enjoyed the SDG Solution Space over the years, not just as a learning space, but as a social space to hang out in. Even after they leave the University, they frequently come back to share the space, some describing it as a home away from home. In order to help our users keep in touch, and provide them with a network of like-minded people to achieve their goals, the Core Team has set up an Alumni Network for students from the SDG Solution Space.
The education, innovation and research activities at the SDG Solution Space are managed by range of stakeholders. The SDG Education programmes have been set up by the Geneva Tsinghua Initiative, a University of Geneva initiative that was sponsored from 2017-22 by a Geneva philanthropy.
An International Advisory Board, including several senior representatives of International Organizations in Geneva, advises on the education programmes and their broader relevance for International Geneva and for the SDGs. A local Steering Committee ensures that the education activities are well-anchored in the faculties of the University of Geneva.
